The merino and tencel blend is ridiculously soft, and after two washes it hasn't pilled or lost shape at all. The reinforced shoulder seams actually make a difference when I'm carrying a backpack all day. Fit is true to size with just enough room through the chest.
Wore this on a five-hour flight and it didn't get clammy or smelly like cotton does. The merino-Tencel blend feels soft against my neck, and the shoulder seams sit flat under a backpack strap.
The shoulder seams on this haven't budged after a dozen washes, which is more than I can say for my old cotton tees. Only nitpick is it runs a touch warm indoors, but as a base layer under a jacket it's perfect.
